North Charleston is seeking resident input on road safety improvements as the city forms a focus group from 700+ survey responses to guide its Comprehensive Safety Action Plan funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The plan aims to add safer crossings, improved lighting and updated signage.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will start a $28.2M maintenance dredging project in Charleston Harbor this month to keep the shipping channel safe, with work by The Dutra Group expected to finish next fall.
Mariners are urged to use caution + monitor updates as active dredging vessels navigate the area.
